About the Author
In Loving Memory of Gail Jardine
January 21, 1932 - January 17, 2009
Gail Jardine was a newspaper reporter, author, and owner of Newsletters, Ltd., a corporate newsletter service. As a very spiritual person, Gail was very excited to begin work on this book as soon as the opportunity was presented. She painstakingly interviewed each contributor, traveling throughout the Chicago area to do so. She also went to Delaware specifically to meet with the sculptor, Charles Parks.
Through her research, Gail was able to garner a strong feeling about Our Lady of the New Millennium's story; what she means to those who visit her, and the graces she bestows. Gail gave selflessly in the pursuit of telling this story. She put her heart and soul into this work, and very much looked forward to seeing the final product. Sadly, after over two years of work, Gail's health began to fail, and she passed away on January 17, 2009, just after completing the book.
When Gail wasn't busy writing one of her books or corporate newsletters she enjoyed spending time at her family cottage in Door County, Wisconsin. She could frequently be found reading a good book in her favorite chair or enjoying the beautiful scenery. Those who knew Gail would tell you that she lived her life with great passion!
